 Riffing
This is a terrific lesson for the second session. Riffing along with friends on guitar and bass can happen in a very short time, whatever the key and there's no end to the possibilities with some experimentation.
I have a solo that I have to do in the rock and roll band I play in and just going through the basics again with Paul's lesson was a treat. I have been playing classically for so long that I forget the basics sometimes.

 Re: Riffing
I learned to play my keyboard in the classic student-teacher fashion but I've never enjoyed myself so much as I am now that I've finally learned to improvise - I just needed someone to give me that basic framework!
And the 12-bar blues is brilliant! The wife has just started learning guitar. Here's three chords to learn love... We were jamming within minutes and it helps her practice her changes. She just strums away and calls out a different key every now and then - I love it!
